Lovely place with calm, quite atmosphere and delicious beautifully prepared food that is a treat for your mouth, near the NJ TRANSIT Train station in Millburn.

I frequently ( pre Covid ) met friends and family here for lunch ( they have lunch specials ) as well as dinner. There is an adjacent parking lot and street parking is generally available.

2022 updare they are still here as good as ever and have outdoor seating, although I now only get takeout. The food has not changed, nor has the service.

I enjoy the Bento Boxes which are quite large with a nice mix of items including salad, California roll, shumai?, and main dish of your choice. I do not eat sushi, but I've been told it is really good here. The service is friendly, accomodating and low keyed.

    Great Sushi!

Came in for dinner and there were plenty of seats available. The environment was pretty spacious/not crammed up with other tables. The table and menus were clean and not sticky like some other restaurants. The servers were quite attentive and the selection of the menu ranges from sushi, sashimi, as well a couple of hot options such as bento boxes. I enjoyed my food with the exception of a couple of pieces of fish and the sushi rice which was no quite seasoned enough for my liking. Entrees come with soup/salad and the squid appetizer was very good. I would consider to come again if I am looking for a Japanese dinner.

A pretty good Chinese owned Japanese restaurant. Good quality sushi and sashimi.

  • *****

Would rate 4.7 stars if I could. However, sometimes the fish, especially the tuna, isn't very good quality. I usually avoid tuna because of the inconsistency. Otherwise very good teriyaki, udon, sushi, gyoza, you name it.

Had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner. Friendly staff, beautifully presented dishes, delicious food and quality sushi! I love that there are unique appetizer choices. We tried the Summer Garden cold appetizer and loved the crispy fried crab meat used as topping on the fresh fish. Highly recommended!

Sakura is absolutely my favorite Japanese restaurant out there. I know the owners and they are so friendly and nice. I came with my wife to have dinner. I ordered the trio sashimi, but I also recommend the yellowtail jalapeo appetizer, crispy ninja, and bento boxes for kids. The menu is filled with options from ramen to sushi to friend rice! Also there are so many drink options and Sakura is BYOB friendly. Come with your family to have a nice meal!

This is my preferred sushi restaurant in Millburn. I had a bad reaction to some sushi from a different restaurant in Millburn a few years ago and have been too afraid to go anywhere other than Sakura. I prefer the special rolls and my partner the sashimi.

Had our sushi cravings here and so far everything we ordered was satisfactory. My bf ordered his personalized sushi, while I had the ala carte sushi. The quality of the fish was average. It did not have the strong fishy smell or weird taste and texture which was great. I'm a snob when it comes to raw fish since you can get sick or get parasites from unsanitary or low quality fish. But the fish they used seemed clean, fresh and palatable. Good place to get your regular sushi or sashimi.

  • *****

??Always beautiful presented, fresh ? sashimi over sweet Japanese sushi rice? with just perfect additions like mango and crab! Wow amazzzing ??????

  • *****

Located in Millburn NJ, this Japanese restaurant may be small, but the offerings are tasty and the presentations skillful. The avocado salad was large with a generous portion of avocado. The ginger dressing was not too spicey and placed on the side so the diner in our party could dress to taste. The rolls (California and Sweet Heart) were delicious. The staff was helpful and welcoming, making Sakura the kind of restaurant where the locals could linger over lunch.

  • *****

The staff was very friendly and the sushi was delicious! Large selection of sushi, and a lot of vegetarian options as well. They also have cauliflower rice sushi and naruto rolls for my low carb/keto lifestyle! This is the only place I know that has cauliflower rice! I will definitely be back!!

  • *****

The food is very good the service is excellent and the lunch specials are quite reasonably priced

  • *****

Very good Japanese food. Good service fair prices. Average ambience.

  • *****

The renovated look is really neat and welcoming. The presentation of the sushi and entrees is very elegant.

  • *****

Food is great but it's a bit pricey. For example, bento boxes are about $16 (or less) in many other NJ/NYC spots, but here it's $25. Or a sushi boat of 18 pieces for $48. Small spot, cute ambience. They do not serve wine or beer, not even sake, which is a bit odd for a sushi 'restaurant' in an upscale town. For a small spot, they had about 7 chefs. This might explain the pricey factor.

  • *****

Very fresh fish and good atmosphere

This is our family's favorite sushi place . Taste, super fresh and clean . The presentation very nice. Service was good . Highly recommend.

I came out of town with my mother to enjoy a nice dinner. They've got nice interior decor. Service was friendly and quick. They recommended a few dishes and there were specials that aren't on the menu. The food presentation is 10/5, very pretty and Instagram worthy. They taste great too. Definitely would come again to try their specials or something new again.

  • *****

    Nice sushi

  • *****

Ok, to start of they have their own parking space which I find very convenient. When I first arrived the place looked very modern and colorful. The place is perfect for a night out with your family or friends. The service was quick and easy. The sushi was very fresh and delicious. I ordered the dragon sushi, the taste of each individual item blended spectacularly.y overall experience was very nice and I would recommend it to anyone who knows good sushi!

  • *****

Best sushi ever, a little bit Pricey Though

  • *****

Fresh food, fast friendly service, easy parking, clean restaurant. Great options on the menu. Everything was good.

  • *****

Not bad a bit cramped, good sushi and hot sake..tight parking, friendly staff

  • *****

Fish is always fresh, food in general is really, really, really good. Delicious!!!

  • *****

One of the best value "sashimi/sushi lunch set" for price , quantity and QUALITY.

  • *****

I love the food here. Services is always great. Food made to perfection every time. A little pricey but ok for a treat once in awhile.

  • *****

Have takeout sushi from here about once a month, and am pleased with them. Sushi is nicely assembled and tastes very fresh. Delivery is accurate and they deliver within the time they say they will. I recently got a roll with cauliflower rice and it was good - I haven't seen any other sushi house do that (I have about 4 locals on rotation). Overall I would definitely recommend this place for takeout. Can't vouch for the restaurant as I've never been to it. Two thumbs up.

  • *****

Very fresh fish and a nice menu to select from. Not the friendliest staff but I can look beyond this given the quality of the food. A BYOB which is always a plus. Limited parking in lot, but lots of other parking around the restaurant. Fairly small and crowded on busy nights. We are regulars here and enjoy coming on off-nights when Sakura isn't as busy.

  • *****

Easy parking in this very crowded town. Great service but the item that stands out for me is the lunch special. Three rolls of your own choosing for $14 that includes miso soup and salad. The soup is wonderful and the salad has a great ginger dressing. But the item that makes this Sushi restaurant stand out from all the rest is one very special item. I have been eating Sushi for most of my adult life but I have never experienced a cauliflower replacement for rice. When you want to avoid the carbs and full feeling of Sushi rice, cauliflower mash is a great replacement. I will return to this restaurant whenever I am close by, for sure!

  • *****

This is our GO-TO sushi place, we go once every 2 weeks I think! Always good, the owners are super friendly. We love it.

  • *****

Love this place. Close, quick, not super expensive for the incredibly good quality. Love their sushi and appetizers, chicken and shrimp dishes. Their staff is very nice as well. Was so happy to see their food at Rocktoberfest, a fall music festival in the park last week.

  • *****

Authentic jap food. Tastes good and not so pricy for its quality and quantity. It's on my list

  • *****

This is probably my favorite sushi restaurant in town. It has endless combinations of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, mackerel etc. one waiter was very nice, outgoing and it made me felt very welcomed. When you walk in you see bright lights and very cooler designs. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's loves sushi or Japanese food

  • *****

good food and service but a little overpriced... I like that is BYOB as many restaurants in Millburn!

  • *****

We have been going to Sakura for many years and they make some of the best rolls around. Always fresh, they don't use too much rice, their bento boxes are great and tempura ice cream delicious too.

  • *****

Not super reliable when you order in for dinner . It's much better when you go to the restaurant. Don't get the salad! It's kind of dry.

  • *****

Yum. Fresh. Beautiful presentation. Great choice. Love the salmon skin salad and the special rolls are gorgeous! Yellowtail jalapeo dish was beautiful!

  • *****

Sakura is the only sushi restaurant in the area I'll ever go to. It's creative, fresh, we'll presented menu selections, and, modern clean decor makes it a destination. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. I prefer to go during the week, when it is less busy, for a more relaxing experience.

  • *****

    Sakura
The service is quick, the sushi is excellent and overall Sakura is very clean. I have been making weekly trips since! Im hooked on sushi now!!!

  • *****

Ordered dinner for pickup. Service was speedy and meal was cooked perfectly. We ordered the tempura and chicken katsu. Both came with rice, soup and salad. The price is almost the same as NY Japanese restaurants.
I would give their sushi and sashimi a try next time and provide updates.

  • *****

Delicious! Great place to eat japanese food
The food is great very comfort too........

  • *****

We wanted to try a new Japanese place and tried this one based on Yelp reviews :). We weren't disappointed. Only had to wait a few minutes for a table since the place was full. Nice ambience, definitely a cozy place, with tables really really close together so difficult to have a private conversation. Booths probably go first and via reservation I assume. Waitresses were very polite and attentive. Orders taken promptly and correctly. We didn't bring wine but could see most people did go with the byob (note for next time!). We tried the Firecracker Roll - excellent and spicy as advertised. Also got the chicken yaki udon - good veggies but not much chicken and rather bland and not as flavorful as other places so had to take some points off for that. The salmon bento box dinner was also good; only complaint is that while the tempura veggies and shrimp were crisp, they totally lacked even a bit of salt. For dessert we shared a chocolate pyramid - plate was very nicely decorated. Dessert itself was good, not too sweet, though probably not the best quality chocolate. Nonetheless, a good experience overall.

  • *****

This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in all of Millburn. The service is excellent. The sushi is always amazing and fresh. I love the jalepeno yellowtail roll and their soba noodles are too die for. It's really a very relaxing environment, especially when you BYO and listen to the tinkling fountains!

  • *****

The sushi is always fresh and the lunch special is a great value. They also do no rice rolls. Standouts are the sashimi, tuna and jalapeno roll, shrimp tempura roll, trust me you've never had one like this and the mussels. Its on the appetizer menu but it's a huge portion and definitely enough for two. A great place to dine in or take out.

  • *****

I finally got the chance to visit Sakura after many years of living in the area. It was one of the best decisions I made because the food is amazing. The sushi is so fresh, the atmosphere is sleek and modern (something you'd never know from the way the outside looks), and the service is adequate. My favorites are the Avocado Salad, the Rock & Roll, and the Golden Spider Roll. The rolls are incredibly filling and are full of flavor and punch. I will definitely be a regular here from now on.

  • *****

Finally! A yummy sushi place in my area! Good service, fresh food, and nice atmosphere. I'll be going here for my cravings. :p Always gonna have the Lion King and Philly Rolls. :)

  • *****

This is is our favorite Japanese restaurant in the Maplewood-Millburn-South Orange area. Their chicken teriyaki is unique and fantastic. Their rolls are amazing, always fresh and inspired. Their shrimp tempora roll is better than anyone else's. and my sister loves their California rolls without cucumber. another great one is their spider roll. the atmosphere is quiet and well thought out. the aura of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming. the servers are attentive and gentle. my personal favorite is the chicken teriyaki bento box, you get a little bit of everything for ten bucks.

  • *****

Have eaten there a few times now and never a bad taste of anything. Please BYOB and enjoy, while the fish melts in your mouth!

  • *****

Excellent service ....and consistently good food
Two things that don't always go together at sushi bars ..place has a clean modern feel

  • *****

Best sushi restaurant in the area! I love their special rolls. They are sooo good!!!

  • *****

Went here last night for dinner with a friend. I got the vegetarian sushi dinner, which was great. The presentation was beautiful, and the sauce that came on the plate complemented the sushi quite well. My friend ordered the beef teriyaki dinner box, which was huge. The box came with shumai, shrimp and veg tempura, and a California roll. She said that it was delicious, but was unable to finish it because it was so much food. The service was attentive and polite, and the food arrived quite quickly. We were very happy with our dining experience. I only wish I lived closer.

  • *****

The best sushi in New Jersey! It is located in a convenient location and they have their own parking lot. The staff is friendly and the quality of the fish that is served is exceptional. Try the yellowtail with jalapenos.

  • *****

Delicious sushi, awesome options and excellent prices! My dinner of a queen roll, volcano roll and a maki combo A was more than enough for two people, and although I was stuffed, I could have eaten more! Sakura will definitely will be my go to sushi place from now on.

  • *****

I came here twice, once for lunch and another for dinner. The interior is modern with some very comfy brown chairs.
The food is excellent and the service was attentive.
The sashimi was awesome and the rolls were some of the best I've had. I especially like the volcano, spicy scallop, spicy tuna and spicy king crab.
If I lived here I'd be here at least once I week!

  • *****

Since I barely ever have anyone to go eat sushi with while in New Jersey, I thought the opportunity that my girlfriend was visiting was the perfect chance to try a new sushi spot. I am, and still am, a fan of Kyoto Sushi in Union, but sometimes I just want something new, a new environment, new special rolls, and I'm glad I gave Sakura a shot.

Went to Sakura on a Saturday night around 7p.m. and had no problem finding a table for two by the window. Within seconds of sitting, we were placing our drink menu and hearing the specials for the night. Their menu is quite extensive. They have two pages of just special rolls (two columns each) and then exclusive one piece special sushi rolls that had very limited ingredients, most were about $6-12 for only one piece.

I ordered the Millburn Sunset and Spicy Scallop rolls, while my girlfriend ordered the Tiger roll. Everything was delicious. At the end of my two rolls, I contemplated getting another roll, but knew that would probably be a mistake. The Lobster & Mango roll was really calling my name, but I couldn't throw another $16 for it.

The pricing was normal for the area, probably a buck or two more if anything. In general, I enjoyed Sakura quite a bit and will find myself going there again. It is a larger Japanese restaurant, which sometimes, I just need rather than going into a tiny sushi house that feels like someones apartment.

  • *****

Best Sushi in the area, hands down. There is not much to say but the food is delicious and fresh and the ambience is modern. They have a parking lot at Sakura which is great because parking in Milburn can be a pain in the neck! I've eaten at the other sushi places in town and now that I've been to Sakura a couple times, I doubt I'll go back to them! Delish!

  • *****

Wow! The amount of fish they put in their rolls is impressive! If I'm paying $15 for a roll, I want it to fill me up! I ordered the Millburn roll and was not disappointed! I ordered the spicy salmon tartar and enjoyed it as well (although I still think FuSha in Parsippany is the one to beat). Someone mentioned that the green tea is roasted. Never knew that was how it's supposed to be prepared but did notice how delicious it tasted! I would definitely return here again, since its a perfect midway point for my friend and I to meet for dinner Hooray for generous, tasty portions!

  • *****

Very good place. I've tried most of the sushi restaurants in the area and this one is among the best. My favorite roll is the dragon roll, so I've tried it many places. Not only was it great from Sakura but it was big. Most places give you small rolls, not the case here. Shrimp shumai was also very good, better than most. The yaki udon (noodles) are okay, I've had better. I've only done delivery once, it was very quick.

Ever since Sono closed, my best friend and I have been searching for a great local sushi place. I am happy that Sakura might just be that place. It is pricey, but you get plenty of food and it's very very good.

Though tt was a rainy Friday night (and my Korean pedicurist had just told me that her mother always told her never to eat sushi on a rainy day as you get an upset stomach from it), it was very very busy- not a free table to be had! Fortunately, the bar was empty so we sat there. That was 7pm, and by 8 the bar had some more customers, too.

Service was a bit slow because they were so darn busy! But we will go back as the bento box was plentiful and delicious and the special rolls were indeed special. I liked that I was able to get one rolled in soy paper and not rice.

I have lunch delivered from Sakura at least twice a week! Sushi is always fresh and rice is always perfect. The restaurant is very clean and decorated really nice. They have a great lunch special which is 2 rolls, soup and salad for $11. You can also get 3 rolls for $13. My favorites are the kaniko salad - crab salad with tobiko and japanese mayo ($5), hamaguri soup- broth with slices of ginger and lots of tiny clams in the shell ($5), and Mission 09- spicy tuna, yellowtail, salmon and whitefish topped with black caviar ($13).

If you like sushi, good service and a clean, stylish restaurant....this is the place to go!!

I'm not a regular sushi kinda guy. I've had good sushi before and this was good too. Wait staff was hovering a bit on a slower night. Price was reasonble. I didn't get sick. I would go back.

This is a solid neighborhood sushi restaurant. They also deliver quickly. The sushi boat for two is a ridiculous amount of food, but a great deal, if you're hungry...

We are regular customers of this restaurant, like once a week. We even order to go. We love it, simply the best in the area. The chef does a good job, as the owners and the rest of the staff. Fish quality is always top, especially the tuna.

Came here for dinner some of my girlfriends and was really surprised with the place! Thy have really good sushi! They have their own parking lot (which fits about 10 cars) but you can find parking on the street, too. The service was on point; waitress was attentive and really polite. The interior is nice, simple, but small. No to mention, food arrived pretty quickly.

For starters, we shared the gyoza, edamame, and jalapeno yellowtail. It was actually my first ever having jalapeno yellowtail and I liked it (a lot)! Gyoza was light and delicious. We also shared a chicken teriyaki entre and the shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, dancing roll, and iso roll. The chicken teriyaki was pretty good, not too sweet. The rolls were pretty good as well. My favorite was probably the Iso Roll. Oh, and not to mention, between 5 girls, we couldn't finish all the rolls. At the end of the night, the total came out to be $24 per person for dinner!

We were very happy with our dining experience here. Definitely a place to keep in mind for other dinner dates...

Love this sushi place! The lovely owners used to be located in Denville and i was a regular. When they re-opened years later they still had my contact info and invited me to the grand opening here- they still remember us whenever we come back.

My favorite roll (and reason for returning) is the QQ roll. Delicious! But also, the atmosphere, quick service, and fresh sushi is what makes me travel so far to Sakura amidst the dozens of local Sushi places around me. I highly recommend!!

Damn good sushi. DAMNED GOOD! Was going to try the Miso Ramen but decided on the sashimi instead. Next time, for sure as it sounded really good. Impressed with service. Wait staff was friendly and always smiling. A definite must if in the area.

Best sushi in Millburn. Creative rolls if that's your thing. Tiger roll and Sakura roll are excellent. I like the elegant simplicity of sashami and that's where the quality of the fish really shines. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy date night.

    AMAZING! Gastronomic.
This place was pretty packed Friday night. They told us 30 min wait at first but they let us add on another chair to a 2 person table. The waitresses were literally running around restaurant. They still managed to be very attentive though. Since we were seated at a small table, I accidentally knocked over soy sauce and it spilled everywhere! But it wasn't hard to get their attention. They even stopped to take a quick picture for us.
They have pretty good sushi dinner deals and kitchen entrees. I had chilean sea bass, which I absolutely love! And it came with soup, salad, gyoza, california roll, tempura. I was stuffed, but it was the best meal I've had in a while! M and T both got sushi, and they claim that the crunchy spicy tuna is amazing. The dishes that I saw on others' tables were also really fancy and looked delicious. There was so much other stuff that looked good, although I wasn't sure what a lot of it was. I probably could have asked, but I was pretty set on the sea bass anyways!
Also, it was my birthday recently... so it was embarrassing, but they brought out ice cream for me with a candle and sang happy birthday.

It was a coooold night but the place was packed anyway. Luckily we had made reservations for our group of 6. It's the best in the area for speciality rolls, and the fish is always very fresh. Rolls are not always what we look for when we want Sushi, but the rolls here are that good! As is the nicer space and ambience compared to other sushi joints in the area. Personal favorite - the Firecracker Roll ( that fried onion garnish is genius) .

Always a simple night of Sushi when you come here. You know what to expect and the expectations are always met.

This is one of the sushi restaurants around town less frequented, competition is higher between Sono and Samurai. I think the pricing is nominally better here, and there is way more space than there is at Samurai.

Solid wait staff, good presentation, waiting time is perfect.

Would recommend for a sushi craving, but not for a "fancy" sushi night.

Love this place! They have the best Avocado salad and they serve Hamachi Kama (though it's not on the menu). I love the atmosphere and it's BYOB. The sushi is fresh and I love the chicken teriyaki! Definitely try it out!!

  • *****

the sushi here is fresh, they have some creative rolls and the ambience is nice.

Service was solid too, the only negative if any is the prices/rolls are a bit pricier than other sushi spots but it's well worth it for the quality

one of the best sushi spots in the area

After trying many many Japanese restaurants in and around Summit, NJ I always go back to Sakura - they are my go to sushi place for sure. Good value for the $$, and the fish is fresh. I can't compare any Japanese restaurant in NJ to ones I've been to in Japan or Vancouver, but this is definitely consistently good.

Extremely delicious fresh sushi rolls! Their list of rolls is endless. Nice they have their own parking lot, since there's no Street parking.

Best sushi in new jersey....easily...fish is beyond fresh service is great and owners are always on site making sure things run well which they always do! Never go anywhere else for sushi....because there is no reason to go anywhere else...love this place!

Great place. Never had bad meal here. Price is reasonable too. Had Chirachi (dish with many fresh sashimi with rice. Came with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing). Had green tea and eel sushi. Service was good. I ate by the bar. I was waiting for a train and it's right next to it. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. If you are in Maplewood, NJ. I recommend it. Nice decorated restaurant.

Great sushi. Amazing rolls. Terrible wait staff, terrible management. And if you order takeout, be prepared for three drops of soy sauce poured in to a tiny to-go cup. Not kidding.

Yum. Fresh. Beautiful presentation. Great choice. Love the salmon skin salad and the special rolls are gorgeous!

Having lived in Millburn almost all of my life, I am a bit ashamed to say I have never been to Sakura until earlier this week.

Instead of writing a long-winded review, all I'm going to say is that this place is fabulous. I'm a huge japan-o-file and have visited the country recently. Sakura is the most authentic american-japanese restaurant I've been to. Period. The green tea is roasted, as it should be. The harumaki was earthy and flavorful and the sushi was fresh, innovative and high quality. I'm so excited to go back and try their miso-ramen. A couple at the next table had ordered it and I was practically drooling when I saw how accurate and similar it was to the ramen I had while in japan.

Oh Sakura... I think I'm in love!

Best sushi in town. Tasty green ice tea. Consistently, high quality food. A family favorite. Thank you, Sakura.

After trying a few local sushi places we went to Sakura on a recommendation. It is our new go-to sushi place! The menu is extensive and the food is fresh. The decor and ambiance is also nicer than your average sushi spot.

Best part is they deliver! We ordered in tonight and the bento boxes were great - tons of food and delivered quickly. Definitely recommend!

Sushi here is fresh. Def much fancier on the inside than it looks from the outside.

Place is BYOB as are most spots in this town. Everything else here was just OK for me.

Rolls are a bit on pricier side for jerzy, but better than options near by i believe.

Not bad at all, will stop by if around. solid option for lunch along w milburn deli.

    OK for me.

Fresh sushi served on beautifully decorated boats and plates. We've been coming here a lot since my relatives live nearby. We've tried the salmon sashimi, sushi & sashimi for two, plus a variety of different rolls. The salmon melts in your mouth!

this is my wife's fav sushi joint....we have tried sushi at a lot of places but for some reason she keeps coming back to sakura...we did like Morimoto and tomo in nyc but it cant be your regular sushi joint...

Sakura is very affordable...and fish is also very fresh...

I also have one suggestion, i ordered a fatty tuna and i should say i wasnt impressed(not with the quality but with the cut of the fish)

we do also take outs from here but somehow food at this restaurant is better dined in than taken out...

Lucky me, I got sat next to a this mother and daughter who bickered the whole time. Daughter throws a temper tantrum and I spent half of my dinner listening to the train wreck. However, the staff apologized and were very gracious about it. My date and I even got a comped dessert for it.

The space is bright and has that "fancy" look to it. You know, white table clothes and such. But the staff didn't treat me any differently when I walked in with muddy shoes and jeans from my hike. I really appreciated that. I'm usually nervous about walking into a spot and not being dressed like I should be. So kudos for the excellent service.

As for the food, it was delicious like the last time I visited and the portions are huge. The dinner boxes are well worth the price tag and will leave you with enough left-overs for a next-day lunch. Or in my case, a snack. Just because left-over sushi is such a posh movie snack.

The fish here is fresh, the rolls and sashimi are delicious. Their salad dressing is dynamite. Shumai was a bit weird but still edible. Oh, and did I mention the green tea ice cream? So yummy. This place is definitely worth going to.

This place has the best and freshest sushi around. They take pride in the quality of their fish and we have never been disappointed. The owners are extremely friendly and always do their best to get their customers a seat quickly. We will keep going back here.!

Not one to leave reviews but felt compelled. The sushi here is excellent for two simple reasons:

    1. Quality ingredients. My taste buds are nodding in agreement. The fish is fresh. Good to see a restaurant not cheapen out on such an important aspect.

    2. Amazing creativity. Nice variety of different rolls created in-house. I LOVE the 'Firecracker'.. a unique combo of tuna, salmon, mango, fried onions, and special hot sauce. Best roll I have ever had and has me coming back on a weekly basis.

Nice atmosphere and great service. Emily and the rest of the staff are super friendly and offer suggestions.

Owner is a nice guy, very personable and cares about his customers.

This is a really great sushi spot for the area. The quality is very good and the prices are not too crazy. They are family friendly and the service is quick. I'd love to see a few korean dishes added to the menu and some more creative rolls. Welcome back!

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurant to go to whenever I am around the area. Their fishes are always fresh and the sushi are always top notch. Heck, I didn't even know there were that many different kinds of sauces you can use for your sushi until I went here. The service is great and the staffs are all really friendly. After the new renovation, the atmosphere in the restaurant just went above and beyond of what it used to be! Sakura is definitely the one place you want to go for if you ever want some ridiculously delicious sushi!

The selection in the menu is overwhelming. There is quite a bit to choose from, but my recommendation is to cut right to the tar tar and special sushi rolls. The fish is fresh and the the presentation overall is fantastic, would recommend!!!
